Introduction

ElectroMagnetic Compatibility (EMC) is the ability of an electrical system or device to work satisfactorily in its electromagnetic environment without influencing the surrounding devices, or being influenced by the surrounding equipment

Context : EMC design issues

NET-EMC deals with electromagnetic perturbations of on-board electronic equipment in transportation systems (aircraft, satellites,..) generated by :

  • Radars: High Intensity Radiated Fields (HIRF)
  • Portable Electronic Devices (PC, mobile phones, MP3...)
  • Auto-perturbations of electronic devices

Scope : EMC simulation access to non–EMC experts

A quick and easy simulation tool to optimise EMC design and traditional simulations and tests
